October 10th, 2023 – AIS Industrial Supply’s annual golf outing was a hole-in-one with perfect golfing weather. The event, held on October 9th at Saddle Rock Golf Course in Aurora, Colorado brought together 130 golfers including our customers and vendors.
The event was dedicated to the memory of Coby Christensen, the son of AIS founder Paul J. Christensen, who passed away last March. Coby worked for AIS for over 60 years and was a beloved member of the company. Everyone at the event received a “Coby Christensen Golf Ball” with his picture on it to honor Coby and his love for golf.
AIS Industrial Supply’s golf outing is a unique event that combines fun and fundraising. The money raised from the outing will go to support First Tee’s mission of empowering children and teens through golf. First Tee teaches kids important life skills such as honesty, integrity, and sportsmanship.
The kids from First Tee participated in the outing by offering to extend putts on one hole and extend drives on another hole.
In addition to the golf itself, there were a number of other activities at the outing:
- Mulligan packets were sold which included mulligans, power shots, putting tape, and raffle tickets with all proceeds donated.
- There were on-site massages for golfers who wanted to warm up their muscles before a long day of golfing.
- Raffle tickets featured many prizes donated by vendors, with the grand prize adding up to over $700 in value.
- We had each team professionally photographed so they could have a photo keepsake.
“We are thankful to our participating vendors and customers for making this year’s golf tournament a success,” remarked Dale Hahs, President & CEO of AIS Industrial Supply. “Every year the golf tournament is a fantastic occasion for both the sport and for cultivating relationships with these outstanding people – customers, vendors, employees, and friends.”
From a sponsorship perspective, Apex Tool Group and Milwaukee were the Platinum sponsors for the golf outing and their participation & support was greatly appreciated.

This year’s event featured a live representation of the iconic AIS 1945 Ford red truck logo, which raised interest from many golfers. They asked questions like, “Which came first, the truck or the logo?”. The AIS logo, which celebrates the company’s founding in 1945, was created before the classic truck was acquired in 2022.
