Whether you’re working on a project at home or on a job site, having the right ladder is crucial for your safety and comfort. With so many different types of ladders on the market, it can be tough to know where to start. That’s why we’re here to help you navigate the ladder world and find the perfect style for you.
All the Louisville ladders we keep in our store are fiberglass. Why do we choose to keep fiberglass ladders rather than the aluminum varieties?
- Electrical Safety: Fiberglass is a non-conductive material, making fiberglass ladders safe to use near electrical equipment and in hazardous environments. Aluminum ladders, on the other hand, are conductive and pose a risk of electrocution.
- Durability: Fiberglass is longer-lasting than aluminum meaning it’s more heat and weather resistant than its aluminum counterpart.
Ladder Types at AIS
Louisville Step Ladder: Step Ladders are a popular type of ladder that are portable, self-supporting, and have an A-frame construction. They are perfect for indoor tasks and can come equipped with several tool slots to keep tools close by.
Louisville Platform Ladder: The platform ladder is a step ladder that has a standing surface with a 30-inch handrail that gives you more reach than the average step ladder, making it perfect for tasks that require extra stability.
Louisville Cross Step Leaning Ladder: This ladder serves two purposes – it can be used as a step ladder or leaned against walls, poles, and corners. The top of the ladder features a “V” shaped ProTop™ with rubber grips which gives it plenty of stability. Not only can you lean the ladder against a wall when using, but you are also ANSI compliant with the HiVis green top and shoes. A traditional ladder cannot be leaned on a wall in this way.
Louisville Cross Pinnacle Ladder: This ladder is a 2 in 1 converting from a platform ladder into a leaning ladder. The HiVis green top and shoes make it easily identifiable which helps to prevent fines. Remember, if it’s green it’s safe to lean.
Louisville Twin Step Ladder: This type is designed like a classic A-frame step ladder but with steps on both sides. This makes it ideal for two person jobs as it can be used simultaneously between two workers.Ff
Louisville Tripod Ladder: Tripod ladders are designed to provide access to tight areas and are up to 15% lighter, which increases their portability. These ladders have three legs and a flared base making them ideal for use on soft and uneven ground. For the ladder to function properly it should be used on soft ground where it can penetrate slightly to remain stable.
Louisville Extension Ladder: Our tallest ladder, the extension ladder, is available in lengths of 16 to 40 feet and is ideal for exterior projects. These ladders require support from a building or stable structure and cannot stand on their own.
AIS Offers Logo Lock on all Louisville Ladders
LogoLock allows you to laser your logo into the side of your ladder. One of the most significant benefits of putting your company logo on your ladder is that it helps deter theft. By adding a unique and recognizable image, you make it less likely that someone will try to steal your ladder. The logo makes it easy for others to identify your property, which makes it less likely that someone will take it.
Logo Lock will make your ladder stand out and give your business a professional look. By customizing your ladder with your company logo, you can showcase your company’s identity and increase brand awareness.
