From replacing all of our lighting to energy efficient LED’s and then covering our roof with Solar Panels to draw power from the sun, AIS has been integrating sustainability into our company going back nearly 80 years. Our company began supplying materials to convert military aircraft for commercial airline usage and we’ve never stopped innovating when it comes to Sustainability. This is why the City of Denver has awarded us with the Certifiably Green Denver certification!
The State of Colorado has accepted us for a tax credit which allows us to provide a 30% discount at the time of purchase on all eligible electric lawnmowers, leaf blowers, snow blowers, and trimmers. We carry top requested brands in this equipment including STIHL, DeWalt, and Milwaukee.

What is Certifiably Green Denver?
Certifiably Green Denver is a program managed by the Denver Climate Action, Sustainability, and Resiliency Group (CASR). It provides education and recognition to businesses for environmental achievement. The primary goal of the program is to increase participation and adoption of sustainable practices.

Certifiably Green Denver Program Facilitates Upgrade in LED Lighting
AIS Industrial & Construction Supply, a sustainable source for tools and supplies, has scored big energy savings by installing new energy-efficient LED lighting in its five-building Denver complex. The lighting upgrade was part of AIS’s participation in the Certifiably Green Denver sustainability program, sponsored by the city of Denver. Projected savings are over $2,500 annually, while dramatically improving lighting quality.
Solar and Battery Backup
The first priority was battery backup for their critical operations: computers, phones, and safety lighting in the warehouses. Complications included a campus of 5 buildings with 5 separate utility meters and different roof surfaces. In looking at the usage for each meter, and which key circuits were connected to each one, we devised a plan for both battery backup and solar that would protect their operations and more than pay for itself just in energy savings.
